“Total Recall” showed off tons of futuristic tech, like robots and devices with heads-up displays. But let’s take memory implantation, for example. In the movie, the government uses a pretty bulky device to implant false memories into peoples brains.
As of now, there’s no sign that our memories will be hacked. But futurist Ray Kurzweil has predicted that around 2030, we’ll have tiny nanobots implanted in our brains that will be able to back up our memories to the cloud, repair our organs, and make us smarter and healthier.
